Foggy day..

On the 13th December 2010, me and Mehreen had gone over to the park as the garage in the middle of Norbury park is our main setting. It was a foggy day so this had given us the urge to record a clip for our trailer. We had taken it in turns to shoot the garage from a establishing shot to a close up. We had taken various of shots as the fog was not going to last for the long so we had taken as much as we can. The fog had given us a unique look and also a horror feel to the trailer. I had also picked out a path way which contained trees along the side. I had taken pictures of my peers walking away in to the distance along the pathway they had taken upon the role of 'Jamie' and 'Cassey' as they were unavailable.

Flame..

The 'flame' scene, this scene will be taken in the drama studio. We had chosen this location as its daylight this is the only room that doesn't have any windows so it will be very dark. We then had to gather our actresses 'Jamie' and the villain. Mehreen had found a white mask which the villain had to wear so disguise himself. We had then set up the camera and the tripod. The tripod was set to the lowest level so the actors were on their knees. We had then directed 'Jamie and the villain' to go on their knees and be eye-eye level with each other. However, Jamie does not know the villain is in front of her and discovers that he is when she tries to flicker the lighter on to give her light. This had taken many more takes then usual as the lighter was hard to flame. When this had come out according to plan we had done a close up both of their face in the camera and the flame sparked in the middle and 'Jamie' in shock looking straight at Jamie. This was taken in different takes and position from over the shoulder shot from Jamie point of view and also a extreme close up of the villain with the flame close to his face. The villain was played by my fellow peer that attends my college Marria Zafar.

Dragging...

In our shooting schedule, myself and my peers had decided to do the 'dragging scene' this contains my friend Ayesha Samji who is playing the role as Jamie. The setting of this scene was in our college in the drama studio. We had decided to do it in there as it was pitch black and also spacious. This is a image of me dragging 'Jamie' and a camera placed in front of her on the floor. We had tried different filters to see what effects it will give on the audience. This had taken a very long time as the camera had caught me in the scene, however, I am not the killer. We had flickered the lights on and off as it gives us a mysterious feel to the trailer.

A Scene From our Trailer

This is the first scene we had filmed on the 8th of December 2010. We had printed out image of various of people and also taken pictures, with the camera of people. We had done this to make the pictures more realistic, to make it look as if there is a person stalking them. Then we had printed out the images in black and white and burnt the edges of the images to give it a rusty, dirty feel and look to it. Me and my group had then placed them with blue tack on the wall and set the camera right in front of the image, to give it a point of view shot. We had then tested different colour lightings and told one of my group member to crawl on her knee (second image) so the shadow is shown on the wall.

Shooting Schedule

Plot Summary

The film begins with a new flash of a missing girl, Marie Williams. The incident becomes the talk of the college and everyone is curious as to what has happened. Jamie, who was a close friend of Marie, sits distressed and shaken. Cassey, who is another friend of the group, comforts Jamie and offers her a sleepover around hers for the night to cheer her up and get her mind of the situation.

Jamie arrives at Cassey’s house and they later decide to take a trip to the local park to get high. They arrive at the park and Adam, Cassey’s boyfriend, turns up unexpectedly. They find a quiet spot near an abandoned garage/ house in the middle of the park and begin to wonder about what it is and what’s inside. Adam offers the girls a new type of drug he’s just bought and convinces Jamie to get high and enjoy the night, forgetting about her worries. Jamie is a decent girl who’s never tried drugs in her life, however due to peer pressure and the stress and misery she is going through, she goes ahead and takes the unknown drug.
Whilst the three of them ‘enjoy’ the night and indulge in typical teenage behaviour, Jamie suddenly passes out. The audience see a black out but after a couple of seconds we are back to the same scene, with Cassey and Adam trying to get Jamie back up. They call Jamie light weight and laugh it off. The group then end up playing truth or dare. On Adam’s go they see one of the doors to the house left wide open, so they dare him to go inside. Being the typical arrogant male character he is, he walks in bravely and screams from inside. The girls run in after worried and are treated to a ‘BOO’. Although they are shaking from the scare, they laugh it off without realising the door behind them has been closed. They go back to open the door but find that it’s locked and blame Adam for playing another trick. The lights start flickering and they start to panic, but soon end up laughing the situation off due to being high on drugs. As the lights start flickering the three of them become aware of their surroundings and try to find an alternative way to escape.

They start looking around the large storage room and spot that there is another door leading to a different room. Adam goes to investigate what the room could be in desperate search of finding an escape route. He opens the door and a strong smell hits him. Adam uses his phone to create light and is shocked at the sight of numerous dead bodies that are scattered around the room. The girls call out his name; however they get no response and decide to go see where Adam has gone. They are soon, shocked by the horrific sight of the dead bodies that are seen in the room. Terrified, they all start retrieving and realise that this was not a joke and is a serious matter and are now petrified, as there is no way OUT! The three hear loud banging noises and in deep desperation start to run around the room, in order to find a way out. During this commotion, Jamie ends up banging her head, and thumps to the ground. Cassey and Adam realise that Jamie is nowhere to be seen and see her being dragged into the darkness by an unknown thing. They run towards her in order to help her, and manage to pull her back to safety. Jamie feels a sharp pain in her leg and gets Cassey to take a look at it. They see that Jamie has been scratched severely from knee downwards and Cassey touches Jamie’s knee but realises that blood was trickling down her hands. The room goes pitch black and in desperate need of light, Adam takes out the light from his pocket and lights it handing it over to Jamie. The flame from the lighter blows out so Jamie tries to relight it, however after many attempts a flame finally appears with the view of an anonymous stranger staring directly at her. In fear and panic, Cassey steps back, her feet lands on something sharp, turns vigorously and faces the wall and finds herself at eye level with the words ‘ YOUR NEXT’ written in blood. Cassey screams in horror and leans against the wall. Suddenly, Cassey starts to bang her head continuously against the wall. Her head is being hit fiercely, several times and Adam thinks that Cassey is doing this due to being frustrated, and wanting to find a way out. However, it is actually the unknown thing that is banging Cassey’s head against the wall. Her forehead is soon, covered in blood and Adam takes her into his arms to find that Cassey is now dead. Adam is shocked and is left confused, he runs to the door and starts to bang on the door and grips onto the door handle to try to open it. A knife stabs through the door and pierces through his left eye, killing him immediately. Jamie’s eyes begin to close slowly as she watches her friends die. The shock and fear inside her causes her to pass out, whilst we hear a pair of footsteps walking towards her the scene goes dark.
The next scene starts off with Jamie suddenly waking up in shock, breathing heavily. We realise it is the following morning, and she is lying in Cassey’s bed. Cassey is also waken by her loud breathing and reassures Jamie lazily and tells her to go back to sleep. Jamie lies in bed puzzled looking up at the ceiling trying to make sense of what has just happened. Jamie remains quiet until they go down for breakfast and then decides to ask Cassey on what had happened last night. Cassey explains to Jamie that she had passed out last night and had to be carried home by Adam. They were too scared to take Jamie to the hospital as they would be questioned on use of illegal drugs. Being the light weight she is, they didn’t take her passing out very seriously.
As the days pass, Jamie tries to forget about the incident, however feels a strange feeling haunting her, she feels the presence of the killer from her dreams. Cassey and Adam, pressurize Jamie into going with them to the local park to hang out. However, Jamie refuses to go and prohibits Cassey and Adam to not go too. They do not listen to her and they still decide to go. Jamie senses a bad vibe, and does not want to go, therefore goes back to her own house. She goes to sleep and wakes up the next morning to find that her friend Cassey and her boyfriend have gone missing.

After police investigation, a few days later Jamie finds out that the events that she had dreamt of took place in reality. Jamie keeps seeing the same face continuously everywhere she goes, and starts questioning her surroundings. In news report of the incident the face of the killer is revealed, and Jamie realises that the killer is actually the same person she keeps seeing, the face she had directly seen back in the house. The film ends with Jamie sitting at home watching the T.V screen terrified. She suddenly remembers a vital piece of information which could help to solve the mysterious case, and picks up the phone to call the police station. She finds the phone is not able to connect and instead decides to walk to the station. As she’s about to open her front door, she finds it is locked. Her eye catches a figure standing in the mirror and turns to find the killer is present in the room. THE END.
